RE:"Terrorism is a result of our stupid policy decisions and our meddling in other countries affairs."

Please then, spell out exactly what you mean.

Thanks, Jim

Bin Laden's gripes with the US were
1) US Troops on sacred Arab soil
2) One sided policy in favor of Israel
3) Backing of corrupt regimes and US puppets

We trained Bin Laden to aid in the war in Afghanistan vs Russia.
Look what that meddling cost.
We trained Bin Laden well.

We have supported corrupt regimes all over the world and instigated coups against leaders we did not like. The US had made a lot of enemies by meddling in the internal affairs of other countries where we do not belong.

Does Canada or New Zealand or Japan do this?

We supported Hussein at one time even supplied him with chemical weapons to fight Iran with. We gave hom "WOMDs" and even looked the other way when he used them on Iran. Later when it served our purpose we called him a mass murderer for using those weapons.

One of our big fears was that Iraq would destabalize and the Shia would take over. Now it is likely to happen.

Much of the world hates us for these policies. They have every right to.

It is not possible to stop nut cases from doing bad things. But our policies stir up and create a bunch of angry people. We have a "war on terror" which is absurd. Terror is a method.

It is impossible to have a war on a method. Yet supposedly the war exists. We go around blowing up people and houses in other countries, killing raping and maiming tens of thousands of innocent people. How can anyone not see this is going to cause problems down the road. Some of those people want revenge and if you were in their shoes you might want it too.

Had we not backed a corrupt Shah of Iran and tried to steal their oil, and had we not done dozens of other things and had we not trained Bin Laden, 911 would not have happened. Heck, just not training Bin Laden might have been enough to prevent 911.

I am not trying to justify 911 I am merely saying it was a direct result of many badly misguided US policies.
