I called Mr. Barton today at SEEQ IR. He said he knew of no reason for the slide in the last several trading days, except the possibility of the one analyst who downgraded cutting the next year's estimates by 1/2 (from .30 concensus to .15). He did this following a conference call with the President of the company. The company still feels comfortable with the .30 estimated originally and did not have a clue as to why this was but felt he has his own reasons. Things are going fine at the company.

They are currently focused on the new products which are being reviewd by their largest customers, Cabletron, Bay and 3Coms. They are working on adding CISCO. They feel the need for the ethernet gigabit products is there - but they feel they are a little ahead of the market. The products are being tested and they are waiting for orders now.

He said many investors have made alot of money trading this stock as it is a small company and there is alot of volatility. It is not for the weak hearted. It can soar upward and suddenly fall like a rock. They have no control over this. I told him I felt it was important to get the story out and get additional coverage, so that one analyst doesn't have so much control over the stock. He said the company had an analyst meeting 2 weeks ago in San Francisco. It went well. They have an electronics event coming up in November.

The company is quiet about estimates now as they are working on finishing the fiscal year which ends 9/28. The financial report will be released 9/29 or 9/30.
