I, of course, don't really know about Gingrich prospects.

I'm struck, however, by the continued comments of the woman who cuts the hair of everyone in the family. She's as apolitical as it's possible to be but Gingrich is a symbol of all that is wrong with politics.

My own more serious take is that Gingrich's prospects depend on McCain and Guiliani failing and the Rep establishment, whatever that is these days, deciding that Gingrich's candidacy won't be such a debacle they will lost countless seats in the house and the senate.

Moreover, I would guess that candidates with less negative baggage such as Allen and Brownback would be more likely to get the nomination than Gingrich. But who knows. Particularly, this far away.
