Thanks for the info. It helped clarify when these companies will actually
be able to offer cable modem. One thing interesting, the article states that 71% of
online users rate their service as good, therefore questioning the size of the market
for cable modem. This ignores developing countries (and rural areas of developed countries) where hard wire phone lines are either
insufficient or non-existant. These countries are bypassing phone lines by using cable and/or wireless
technology to avoid higher phone line installation cost, and get superior data transmission in the bargain.
I think this is where WEBB's South American contract becomes very important.
