I suppose I could come up with reasons, but I don't see the point. I never asserted that there was other reasons for opposition....Your making statements about opponents of fetal stem cell research in general, that don't fit in with one of the biggest opponents.
If there's only one reason, then there's only one group. No amount of "painting" will make multiple groups out of only one reason if we are grouping by reason, which I am.
the issue isn't really about opposing stem cell research as much as it was about opposing federal funding for fetal stem cell research which is not the same thing
For my purpose it's the same thing because, even though your political objective may only be to stop federal funding, you are in the same purpose group that wants to make it illegal. Some of those people may be men and some women, some easterners and some westerners, some Catholics, some lapsed Catholics, some Baptists, some may be blind, others deaf, but for my purposes there is only one group. Everything else just clutters the analysis. |
