This just hit on CNN; nothing like the loss of the juice to shake people up :>)

I think the story is coming out of Santa Barbara; way south. Inferior grapes to begin with.
But 2 more possible problems; new bugs and fungi; too much rain at the wrong time, like when they need to get in the fields (eg this past spring), or too soon in the fall.
