Some of my favorites. No way could I rank them, but broke them out between top ten newer and older: Dances with Wolves The English Patient Gladiator Rain Man Girl on the Bridge Until the End of the World Wings of Desire Ride with the Devil Usual Suspects Awakenings Little Big Man 2001 A Space Odyssey The Day the Earth Stood Still Chariots of Fire Rear Window Vertigo Jean de Florette Gandhi The Godfather Casablanca And a few I just had to list, even though they didn’t make the top ten in either group: Men with Guns Matewan Manion of the Spring Body Heat The Hustler Blowup It’s a Wonderful Life A Bridge Too Far The Birds The Green Mile Forrest Gump Dead Man The Commitments Crimes and Misdemeanors Shawshank Redemption Eight Men Out Quest for Fire Rashomon Whew.. that was hard and I didn’t even restrict the list to just ten.. sorry. This was a good idea, though. I picked up several from others that I hadn't seen, so they go on the "to watch" list.
