"While SiRF Technology (Nasdaq: SIRF) is not without competition in the rapidly growing GPS market, I don't see any companies that can match SiRF on either capability or scope. With GPS now hitting price points that will bring the technology to the "masses," I think Wall Street is underestimating SiRF's fortunes. GPS was even mentioned by Circuit City (NYSE: CC) management as one of the drivers for its consensus-beating May quarter. That sort of news leads me to believe that even if there were some pockets of inventory last April, they have been absorbed, and the consumption of GPS chips during the second quarter will prove to be above expectations. In addition to that, we might also see much higher-than-usual seasonal strength in the normally slow second and third quarters as vacationers add buying a GPS to the "to do" list..."
