Another article from same source (not the best study): diabetes.org

>>CONCLUSIONS These data provide some support to the hypothesis that in the absence of diabetes, homeostatic glycemic control is a risk factor for atherosclerosis.<<

>>In summary, these data provide some support to the hypothesis that the degree of homeostatic glycemic control, even among normoglycemic subjects, may contribute to atherogenesis. The results are compatible with at least two conclusions: 1) rather than a threshold effect, typically defined by overt diabetes or impaired glucose tolerance, a
continuum exists in the relationship between glycemic status and the risk of atherosclerotic vascular disease, or 2) if a threshold of increased risk does in fact exist, it may be within what is currently considered the normal range of glycemic control.<<

Does this summary point #2 "normal range of glycemic control" mean nondiabetic normal? I mentioned the usage as a vitamin to Henry. I meant it in terms of broad range preventitive action. I personally am going to start paying much more attention to the side effects of Targretin and the others. squetch
