Makes sense. I'm not sure the specific motive syndrom you invoke is the one but my guess is that something like that plays a role.

But that's an explanation based on analyses of specific folk. A certain kind of psychological dynamic leads to outrageous acts.

It's not one that says "divorce" causes males to kill judges and ex-wives.
