Was world war two our business Ralph? Making something our business or not is simply an existential decision based on many things. Not clear cut. We, is the US, but are we not all citizens of the planet earth? If India and Pakistan started a nuclear war radiation would travel around the globe; and the devistation would be horrific. We might decide to neutralize Pakistan if radical muslims took control of their nuclear weapons, to prevent a nuclear exchange. Along with Europe and others I would hope. Personally, I recognize no countries or cultures as all are artificial and arbitrary. I think we all need to start thinking of ourselves as citizens of the planet earth. Period. And I think all cultures need to be updated to reflect todays civilized thinking. Like women's rights to total equality with men.
