"I'm not concerned with who blames us...." Reality is reality.... Best to understand that, and deal with it. (Unless someone is trying deliberately to destroy America... I don't see where going down in history as a skunk --- and losing every single ally we have in the world --- is worth the dime. Better to let them stew in their own failures, and starve if they choose to....) Anyway, the current state of affairs has benefits for the US --- our allies hew closer to us, Japan is joining the US missile defense system (thus greatly improving the system by letting us site launchers & radar on their territory), and if NK gets much worse then Japan (that officially most peaceful of nations) will 'go nuclear' itself. THAT (a nuclear armed Japan) is the only thing that could stir China into slapping down the petty despot in NK.
