..it is going to take much time, much money, and much death and destruction in the meantime. What's the alternative, let the Jihadists conquer Iraq merely to avoid death?? Can anyone really claim that a militant Islamist (Salafist or Shi'a) regime in Iraq would actually decrease the number of deaths in that country?? Iraq is the front line in a struggle between Salafism/Takfirism and militant Shi'ism. And both of them are against the democratic government, elected by the people and accountable to the people for the first time ever. Hawk
