"Sure, why not cut off all aid..."

We should.

(And also inspect any ship leaving the place on the high seas to make sure it's not transporting missiles, nukes, or counterfeit currency. And 'screw 'em' when they complain....)

Only problem with that is that the BULK of all aid to the North comes from SK or Japan (China, not so much....) Japan, I imagine, will be shutting off the spigot bye-and-bye... leaving just the Koreans in the South sending money, oil, and food to the North....

"And then blast them back to the 12 century..."

Most of their people are ALREADY living like that. :-)

Only problem with shooting FIRST, is that 1) we lose the diplomatic high ground globally, when WE OWN that moral high ground right now, and:

2) When they shoot back about 2 MILLION of our allies (in SK and Japan) die within 24 to 48 hours --- along with most of the 50,000 or so US forces positioned in SK....

A little something like that (the US shooting first, and then 2 million citizens of US allies DYING) could make being a "US Ally" REALLY UNPOPULAR in the world.

In fact, I'd venture to say that it would be the greatest political and economic coup to EVER HAPPEN for China and Russia.

It might be seen as the equivalent of 'shooting at a fly with a shotgun... and accidentially taking off one's OWN foot', and thereby allowing the 'neighbors' to take all your business....
