Another example of liberal policies that produce and maintain poverty is liberalism's soft on crime policies. Failure to protect poor people and neighborhoods hurts the poor people who live there, both directly by making them frequent victims of crime and indirectly by preventing economic development in poor neighborhoods.

Okay, I've given you two examples of how liberals hurt the poor:

1) by sacrificing the economic opportunity that could help them on the alter of environmentalism

2) by making them frequent crime victims and stifling economic opportunities that can lift them out of poverty.

These are obvious and indisputable. Clearly, liberals must not have any concern for the poor at all. Or else they'd try to make it easier for them not to be so poor.
