I am considering terminating this thread for the following reasons: The events in Israel-Gaza-Lebanon theater, which may soon be broadened to include the launching of thousands of missles from the Hezbollah-Iran-Syrian side, comes at a time when the US military presence in the region is at its greatest strength ever, and actively engaged with the same enemy. With the Iranians leading the rhetoric and the armament, there is a strong likelihood that their Revolutionary Guards will soon come up among the dead and wounded in Lebanon, and the possibility that these captured Israeli soldiers will be beheaded ala Iraq style, I feel that the thread has achived its aim, and is now irrelevant. Any thoughts would be appreciated, but I fear that this thread will ultimately just be a place where people fight and argue, and that doesnt really make any sense to me anymore.
