Vintage Clinton to illustrate 'her concern' for the military she once shunned and treated with disdain. Politics and pandering have no limits.

Cold War Medal

From our World War II veterans to our veterans just returning from Iraq, it is important that we remember and honor their contributions. It is also important that we not forget those who served during the Cold War, a decades long struggle in which the forces of freedom eventually triumphed. Our victory in the Cold War was made possible by the willingness of millions of Americans in uniform to stand prepared against the threat from behind the Iron Curtain

In order to honor the service of Cold War veterans, I have sponsored legislation to create a military service medal to members of the Armed Forces who served honorably during the Cold War. Our victory in the Cold War was a tremendous accomplishment and the men and women who served during that time deserve to be recognized. I plan to introduce this legislation again this Congress.
