I don't think liberals have self identified as traitors, while some folks from the right have proposed such a solution to the "problem" of prisoners themselves. Surely you can see the difference. The former is a name calling label stuck on the left by the right, the latter is a method for treating prisoners proposed by some on the right. I think it's fine to reference ideas in comments- it is only by dragging specific posts over, or named individuals, that we put an individual on the spot. A general comment doesn't do that.
