>>King calls for ending the Israeli Aggression on Lebanon

Aqaba, July 13 (Petra)--His Majesty King Abdullah II called for putting an end to the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, affirming Jordan's rejection and condemnation of this aggression, that targets innocent civilians and the Lebanese infrastructure.

The remarks came during a meeting with Lebanese deputy Sa'addin Al Hariri, who arrived in Aqaba from the Egyptian city of Alexandria.

In a press statement after the meeting, Hariri said that he will ask the King to use his good relations with world leaders to stop the Israeli attack on the Lebanese people.

His Majesty affirmed that he will continue his efforts and contacts with Arab countries and influential international powers to find away out, which averts the Lebanese people more losses.

The King stressed the importance of crystallizing a unified Arab position to support the Lebanese government and people, noting the importance of unity among the Lebanese people to overcome the difficult situation.

Hariri expressed rejection of the Lebanese people to use Lebanon to implement regional agendas that do not serve its interests.

"Aggression will not lead Israel to anywhere," he said, noting dialogue could open channels for solving these problems.

He describes the Israeli siege on Lebanon as unjust and called the Lebanese people to face this aggression.<<
