Steve, I am careful not to seek for the wrong things, that I would be puffed up and prideful enough to believe that God is going to put a blessing on my investments. Instead, I seek spiritual blessings which is much better than the love of money and things of this world.

Ephesians 1:3
"3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:"

Read prayerfully what God tells us in 11 Cor. 12:7
7" And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure."

God assures me that "My grace is sufficient for thee:for My strength is made perfect in weakness." 11 Cor 12:9

Afflictions are blessings in disguise and draw us closer to God. The apostle Paul said:
11 Cor:
"9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."

The Corinthians experienced many miracles, yet Paul called them carnel, spiritual babes and rebuked them. Certainly they were not being healed and delivered based on their faith, yet the Holy Rollers and Pentacostal churches tell those not healed that they must have a lack of faith or they would receive a healing. It is a very simple matter. These miraculous gifts have been withdrawn. The later epistles of Paul do not even recognize such gifts as being in order. In his first letter to the Corinthians, Paul made it clear that their miraculous powers would be withdrawn.
1 Cor. 13:8
"8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away."
He was referring to the miraculous gifts of prophesy, toungues and prophesy.
In Paul's letters there is strong proof that the gift of healing was allready being withdrawn, for he says'
11 Cor. 5:2
"2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life."
11 Cor. 4:16
"16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day."
Also see 11 Cor 12:7, 1 Cor. 2:3, Gal. 4:1311Cor. 11:29, Phil 2:25-27, 11 Tim. 4:20, 1 Tim. 5:23.
As I said, God has replaced this with something better.
"We are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places." Eph. 1:3
11 Cor. 12:
"9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
