It's Khan, Genghis or Chengez or Chinggis or Chingis or Jenghis (take your pick, but the sound is roughly Jen-Gis). You're right about the nature of the beast. Young men love to fight. Someone said there's no animal more dangerous than a young man armed with a semi-automatic rifle, and now the world is full of them, especially Africa and the Middle East.
