I'll have to claim some degree of ignorance. Are you claiming that the Jews have a right to Palestine? Do the conquered Indian tribes of North America have a right to Canada, United States and Mexico?


In all these cases I say that the each group has some rights, and no group has sole ENTIRE rights.

Now, rights can be negotiated in a marketplace, in a legal framework, in a political framework, and in war. Some of all of that has gone on in Palestine.

The Arab side, which disdained compromise until long past the point when it was too weak to do anything but compromise, has generally preferred negotiation by war, though it was a stupid and self-destructive course for them. But they have divine rights, you see, so they are not allowed to compromise with infidels. They don't all believe that, but the ones who do are willing to kill the others, so it makes little difference.
