When was the last time MSFT introduced a successful consumer electronics product? NEVER, that's when. But what about X-Box? Well, if it weren't for the billion$$$ propping up X-Box, it would be long gone. So, I wouldn't consider it a success just yet (I believe MSFT hasn't made any money off X-Box, even after factoring in all the games it has sold).

Add to that, when was the last time MSFT kept something a secret? Usually there's a long lead time between announcements and product, often with delays. The xbox, which these rumors are based on was shipped out almost 2 years after it was first announced. They haven't announced anything yet, so even after they do, it will be a wait.
