There were just Arabs of the regions of southern Syria and Palestine.

And these people were the ancestors of the land. There were many rulers over these "tribes" from before the time of Christ.

But when you surgically implant a new nation into the existing body politic, you'd better be ready for rejection unless you have the proper type of nation.

If rejection is to be thwarted, then inclusiveness is necessary. It seems to me that by the powers vested in Israel by the UN, power was exclusive. And became more exclusive over time.

It was european Jews who were mainly transplanted to Israel. They were given autonomy over themselves and the land.

Again might making right, just as it did from the time of the Roman rule, through the Ottoman empire to modern Syria and Palestine, the British and then the Jews of Israel.

Is might right? Even the mightiest empires have fallen before. Usually due to self destruction or attrition or invasion by the next mighty one. Endurance is definitely tied to fairness and opportunity.

Even America is barely 200 years old. Yet it holds sway over the entire world. Will it endure?
