"When was the last time MSFT introduced a successful consumer electronics product? NEVER, that's when." The whole Xbox division probably does about break even now (licensing fees, good will etc.)..... also Microsoft has been quite successful with their keyboard/mouse line..... my guess is that there will not be a Microsoft branded iPod but they will show a "design concept" mp3 player or two but that there will be a competitor to iTMS that will be sort of ok but not much more than that.... the real competition will be in video (home and portable) and nobody knows how that will play out, the big winner might be some new company
