HRB and INTU: Keith, I think INTU would be an incredibly good fit for HRB. as far as tax prep, the tax software is a totally different market than the tax preparers, and what is the profit margin. HRB has to have an office, pay overhead, pay the tax preparers, and make the difference. Average tax return is probably $50-75, but what is net. compare that to selling software with little overhead. hmmm. And think of tie-ie, bring in your turbo tax disc or your quicken file to HRB and get a $10 discount. hmmmm
INTU acted very good today considering the sharp advance. Importantly, it held 30 on a generally negative day. Still see 28-29 as great buying op, and see 35-36 as highly probable. If it can get thru 35-40, we could see a run back to the big numbers of yesteryear.
Of course, I've been burned by INTU before. Larry
