How easy - outside forces are to blame! ALL the Arabs had been controlled by outside forces for hundreds of years. They were part of the Ottoman Empire. The Ottoman Empire had long been the sick man of Europe. Its lands were weak with long misrule. It fell apart after WWI because the Turks had chosen the German side. ALL the lands of the Middle East were carved up and handed over to SOMEBODY, and that somebody was generally from outside. To leave it to the purely inside forces would have been to leave it to anarchy. until some stronger tribe conquered the others. I mean, let's get some historical context here.
