7/14/06 Update
More Doom and Gloom! The Nasdaq Biotech Index closed the week down -10.9% YTD vs. -6.7% YTD at its 7/7/06 close. The Charity Contest stocks were also beat up badly, with the median for the 40 portfolios at the 7/7/06 close down -11.1% YTD vs. -5.93% YTD the prior week.
Although still in the lead, RKRW's portfolio really got clobbered last week and it's now only up a measly 19.0% YTD. Wilder's portfolio, in the No. 2 slot, held up a bit better and its YTD gain is now 17.4%. A mere 7 of the 40 Charity Portfolios are currently in the black YTD, while just 19 of the 40 are outperforming the Nasdaq Biotech Index.
Forget the market and have a terrific weekend everybody!
