It's amazing how the rightwing blames everyone else but oil man Bush for the spike in oil prices. It's amazing how they ignore that oil services company executive Cheney held secret energy meetings. It's amazing how they ignore the maps that showed the administration cutting up Iraq's oil fields for ExxonMobil et al.

It's amazing how they ignore the chaos in Iraq that drives up oil prices or the posturing against Iran that does the same. It's amazing how they can't figure out how Saudi Arabia, previously running into serious financial and economic trouble, is bailed out by the huge spike in prices.

We're about 5% or so from meeting, in real terms, the oil shock prices of the 70s. Still US consumers have yet to find price elasticity.

I guess we'll have to get to the $100/bbl before that happens...this will make Cheney and Bush very happy and their cronies very, very, very rich.
