all of the hording and chasing of goods to beat price increases will cause one hell of a glut when the weak consumer spending ripples up the supply chain.

The high prices are causing big investment in capacity that will probably be coming on stream just as consumer spending falls off the cliff.

Dow 5,000 seems reasonable to me if not lower.
