There should be few if any state secrets in a democracy.

Hitler would have love to known we were going into Normandy instead of Pas-de-Calais...

And the NY Times would have not have declosed the location. The NY Times is a very sophisticated paper. They know the difference between state secrets and violations of the right to privacy. Do you?
