He might have been smart enough to pursue terrorism rather than lose the war on terror by doing something idiotic like invading Iraq and shooting ourselves in the foot.

So Iraq was not a terrorist state?

What really is the difference between Afghanistan harboring a terrorist group like Al Qai'da, and Saddam harboring Abu Nidal, and Abu Abbas (and let's not even go into the subsequent discoveries related to Iraq's ties to Al Qai'da)?

Why are we justified in attack Afghanistan because Al Qai'da coordinates attacks upon the US, and not Iraq for harboring two of the most notorious terrorists, Abu Abbas, who personally killed a crippled American and flung him off the Achille Lauro....

...or Abu Nidal, who was responsible for the deaths of over 900 people, including a number of Americans:

And according to this report from the Telegraph, they claim that they have evidence that Abu Nidal was involved in the training of Muhammed Atta:

But having never heard this story before, I'm initially hesitant to accept it.

But it sure would explain why Abu Nidal put 4 bullet holes in his chest when he allegedly committed suicide.
