Rubbish. The problem with Victoria's sewage has nothing to do with what pollution it creates (almost none), and everything to do with the new environmental religion which is based on aesthetics, not science.

Indeed, the Seattle Times article you posted says as much. They unsuccessfully tried to skew a story they took from the Victoria papers.

The consultants the city hired actually said what Victoria does causes no environmental damage but that the city can't continue doing it forever because it looks bad. The message the city got was that it's on the wrong side of the PC/envirowhacko crowd.
