Elroy, Well if the descriptions one reads about North Korea in various papers are at all accurate, common sense tells me that knowledgeable North Koreans would like to be part of the normal world.

One time there was this North Korean spy who infiltrated Seoul and filmed a propaganda video there. He claimed on the video that the South Korean population are tired of their leaders, that they want to reunite, that North Koreans should be encouraged by this news, yada yada yada.

Unfortunately for the DPRK, the North Koreans did not pay any attention to what the spy was saying. Instead, they looked at all of the tall buildings in the background of the video, along with the cars and other familiarities of modern progress, and they wondered, "Why don't we have that?"

Is this a S. Korean urban myth? It sounds like one.
