Business Profile
Business: Genesis Microchip, Inc. engages in the design, development, and marketing of integrated circuits (ICs) called display controllers that manipulate and process analog and digital video, and graphic images. It supplies reference boards and designs that incorporate its software, and proprietary ICs or chips. The company's system-on-a-chip solutions are used worldwide by display manufacturers to produce visible images across flat-panel displays, digital televisions, projectors, and digital versatile disk players/recorders. Genesis' products are primarily used in liquid crystal displays (LCDs) for desktop monitor applications and LCD displays televisions. In April, Genesis and Mobilygen signed a cross-licensing and co-development agreement. In June, Genesis entered into a strategic agreement with EnTech Taiwan in which Genesis will bundle EnTech's softOSM(TM) (OnScreen Manager(TM)) software with its next-generation Phoenix LCD monitor controllers.
