911 was actually a followup to the 1993 WTC bombing. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was involved in planning both attacks. His nephew, Ramzi Yousef, headed up the 1993 attack.

The 1993 attempt to bring down the WTC happened to fall on the Friday before the second anniversary of Iraq's being driven from Kuwait. Abdul Rahman Yasin, who made the explosive used in that attack, escaped to Iraq where he was given a house and monthly stipend.

Which of course, doesn't PROVE the government of Iraq was involved in the attack. But liberals wouldn't care if it were proven.
