Hmmm. Israel withdrew unilaterally from Gaza, and Hamas attacked and kidnapped Israelis. Israel withdrew unilaterally from south Lebanon, and Hezbollah used the territory to establish bases, rocket launching sites, and staging grounds for cross-border assaults. Looks like peace and moderation took Israel pretty far. The Lebanese are paying a price, in collateral damage, for their failure to establish and assert sovereignty over their territory -- that's the kindest possible description for how Hezbollah has been allowed to carve out an autonomous district in Lebanon. Yep -- damn that Harper for not being a bleeding heart.
