<<Ethanol from sugar cane, sugar beets,>>

Sugar cane is only grown in the US in South Florida and Hawaii. We grow 33 million tons of sugar beets. The sugar from beets and cane is consumed as food.

Corn acres have declined by 26% since 1931 but production is up 427%. We have a surplus of close to 2 BILLION bushels of corn on hand going into harvest.
