The U.S. State Department has set up a Lebanon U.S. State Department Task Force to help get evacuation information to Americans in Lebanon.

The call center telephone number is 1-888-407-4747

If you have family/friends there who need to evacuate or that you are concerned about you can call this number and provide them with pertinent information.

The Task Force person can check the embassey lists to see if they are registered with the embassey in
Lebanon. If not registered they can use the information you provide to register the person and to try to contact them.

The person, I talked with said the main thing is to have cell phone numbers and e-mails for the Americans in Lebanon. This enables them to get information to the individuals and establish contact.

Addresses where they were staying also important.
