I have found that QQQQ options are as immune as options get from the problems of big spreads and low levels of liquidity. I would say that about 1/3 of my limit orders have been filled at less than the ask over the past 6 months.

I can't speak to individual stock options from direct experience, but I agree that they suffer from those issues, from what I've heard.
