An often overlooked aspect of covered calls is that they are excellent for smooth exits. Since you have stocks you didn't choose to hold for the long term, write slightly it-the-money short term calls on them, and let them get called! It will keep you from indecision and trying to time it so you get agonizing over getting the last nickle out of them.
