Your analogy to cops tells me that you think the US should be a world policeman and my opinion is exactly opposite to yours. The world stage is very different from keeping "law and order" in a city.

And yes, every country should be considered the same as far as the sovereign rights are concerned. The US cannot acquiesce to Israel's right to strike if they feel threatened while at the same time twist the arms of other nations who are equipping themselves against external threats.

We all need to work towards peace and the US can paly a very leading role. For now, with the unilateral decision to attack Iraq, the US has surrendered that right to lead the world towards peace.
