I am sure that you are well-meaning about it, but I have to say that anybody who thinks we have benefitted the Native peoples of America just is not in possession of any facts or information at all about the subject.

What we have done for the Native people is:

-- largely exterminate them
-- confine them to reservations
-- violate endlessly the treaties made with them
-- willfully sow disease and other forms of destruction into their populations
-- destroy their culture and customs most ruthlessly

A modern-day tip of the iceberg is described here:

Look into it a bit further before you try making analogies with people in other parts of the world.

Namaste!
