How is Hezbollah going to recover the hostages that Israel is holding without doing a prisoner swap?

It could try the civilised methods. Have the Lebanese government make representations to the Israeli government, asking for prisoners to be repatriated to serve time in their own country? If they are hostages this (with a modicum of international pressure in a good cause, e.g. from the EU, may cause Israel to act pragmatically.

But if said 'hostages' are in Israeli gaols because they've been caught committing terrorist offences in Irael, then I doubt they'll be interested. And if this is the case, I have small sympathy.
