OT: I have a large network set up in my home to test networking with different operating systems. Used to have to "beg, borrow, or steal" computers. Now people are trying to unload their old computers on me right and left, powerful computers. Have actually had to turn people down. ANYONE who really wants a computer can get one now, regardless of their financial condition.

Put another way, the market in the US for computer technology is saturated. Aftermarket for computer cards might remain strong but can't see the box makers or chip makers doing anything. Even the more desireable laptops are cheap now if you don't get suckered into buying the (just barely faster) bleeding edge technology.

China demand is probably going to be the driver going forward.
