I don't value anyone's lives over others. I don't hold Israelis at large directly responsible for the actions of their government (many do not support violence), or Arabs at large for the actions of the less-organized Arab groups that are involved in terrorism / resistance. I just don't think that the Israeli government needs support when it acts counterproductive to not only Middle-Eastern peace, but the peace of the world, a lot of whose citizens are increasingly radicalized Muslims. If this were a conflict somewhere that had no impact on Canada, I would not be posting on it in a Canadian political forum, but this conflict and the position of the government has profound implications for Canada. Just think of it the next time you take an airline flight, and have to pay a large tax for security precautions that a peace-loving people like Canadians should not need.
