I didn't know that Israel was holding women and children under the age of 18. Why do they hold these people? Were they found with bombs?

That was the motivation of Hamas, to capture an Israeli soldier that they could use for bargaining for the women and children. Stupid move on the part of Hamas. Followed by another stupid move on the part of Israel to begin a campaign of shelling and bombing in the West Bank.

Think there can ever be peace with this kind of response? Can there be peace while Israel holds women and children in jail?

Now the ante has been upped to release all prisoners. Gee what did Israel's response gain them? A chance at WWIII?
