Israel has often said they would stop attacking Lebanon, but they have never kept their word. Among other problems, UN 1559 says Israel must leave Lebanon, but Isreal is still occupying the Shebaa region. Hezbollah's kidnapping of Israeli soldiers was a response to Israel's assassination of people in Lebanon, as well as the hostages Israel has been holding since 1979. Tom
