How was your vacation? You see, no one talked about you being dearly departed or anything else as far as I could tell. The FBI field offices, Richard Clark, O'Neil and even parts of the CIA did have a handle on 911. Not only were people jumping up and down with their hair on fire but they issued a PDB which Dubyette promptly ignored in order to go on vacation for a month. It's neither fair or rational to ignore people who were desperately doing their jobs but not being heard by the Dubyettes who were concentrating on fighting the Cold War. It's really unfair to ignore what these people were doing because I'm pretty sure it's happening again.
