Bush was not behind the 9-11 attacks, but was totally AWOL on terrorism up until 9-11, in bed with and protecting the Saudis the whole time, and had already by then lusted to try and find something to blame on Iraq to trick us into letting him start that costly war, even though he had no realistic plan for what to do once he had invaded.
In addition, Bush has been largely AWOL on the real war on terror, that is finishing what he began in Afghanistan and getting to the root causes of it all. The heightening trouble we see now in Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Lebanon, Somalia and Palestine are now all direct results of Bush's poor, wrong-headed and inept foreign policiy ideas. And none of it has helped make us safer from terrorism.
Bush also pimped for the Saudis to take over our ports (ignoring homeland security) and has recently snuck the Dubai Ports deal past us when the press wasn't looking. Bush is quite simply the worst commander in chief we have ever seen, and Cheney makes Bush especially dangerous and dishonest. |
